Atomic Aesthetic
I found these on the great image uploading site www.ffffound.com. I find any art that can express a scientific idea and mix it with great design and aesthetic a really inspiring thing. Im a bit tired of the stuffy science textbook illustration as practical as they are dull. The world of quantum physics is hard to visualise. The picture of an atom that everybody has in mind is of an electron or two flying round a nucleus like planets orbiting the sun. The image was created in 1904 by a japanese physicist named Hantaro Nagoaka. Little do people know its completely wrong. Atoms would look more like a really fuzzy tennis ball.

Its been a while but Ive been fairly busy relocating to the otherside of the planet.
Due to my current location in sleepy rural Ibaraki Machi in Japan its given me way less distractions and an oppertunity to start some projects that ive had on my mind for some time to say the least.
My first project to announce is 'The Standard Model'. Its a comic that I hope capture my laymans interest in physics. Expect numerous errors but a fun piece of science fiction.
